Color ring inductor generally refers to the solenoid, when he passes through the changing current, it will produce some different effects from the general wire, so it can also be called inductor. Color ring inductors are also one of the inductor series products produced and sold by GOTREND.

Color ring inductance due to the special structure of the product, its inductance recognition method and the general inductance recognition is different, the color ring inductance is the use of color scale method, that is, refers to the surface of the inductor coated with different color rings to represent the inductance, usually four-color ring logo.

So, how to judge the identification method and quality of the color ring inductor?

 

1、The identification method of color ring inductance :

(1) The color ring inductor color represents the number :

brown 1, red 2, orange 3, yellow 4, green 5, blue 6, purple 7, gray 8, white 9, black 0 . The magnification of the color of the color ring inductor: Brown *10 (10*1), Red*100 (10*2), Orange*1K (10*3), Yellow*10K (10*4), Green*100K (10*5), Blue*1M (10*6), Purple*10M (10*7), Gray *100M (10*8), White*1000M (10*9), Black*1 (10*0), Gold*0.1 (10*-1), Silver 0.01 (10*-2).
 

(2) The error level represented by the color of the color ring inductor :

gold 5 [%] 、silver 10 [%] 、brown 1 [%] 、red 2 [%] 、 green 0.5 [%] 、 blue 0.25 [%] 、 purple 0.1 [%] 、 gray 0.05 [%]  colorless.
 

(3) The basic unit of the color ring inductance is "micro-heng".

 

(4) The following takes the four-ring inductor as an example :

4.1 The so-called "four-color ring inductance" refers to the inductance value expressed by four color rings. From left to right, the first and second rings represent two significant digits, and the third ring represents the number of numbers after which "0" is added. The so-called "from left to right" means that the inductive image is placed in the picture - three of the four color rings are relatively close to each other, and the fourth ring is slightly larger.

(5) The inductance value of the four-color ring inductance is quickly identified :

5.1 Step 1 :
When we get a four-color ring inductor, first look at its fourth color ring, the fourth color ring is generally farther away from the other three color rings, easy to find, and the color of the fourth color ring is only gold and silver two colors, or there is no fourth color ring that is colorless.

5.2 Step 2 :
After reading the fourth color ring, followed by the third color ring, the third color ring is the key link to quickly read out the resistance, everyone knows that the third ring is multiplier, if you just read out the multiplication, it will affect the entire resistance reading process, we should read the multiplication directly into the unit of resistance, plus the value of the first two color rings is the correct result.

5.3 Step 3 :
Then look at the first two color rings, the first two color rings represent the effective value, the first color ring will generally be close to a certain end of the color ring inductance, followed by the second color ring and the third color ring, and then the distance is the fourth color ring, how to quickly read out the first two color ring values? Please keep in mind the following mantra: brown one red two orange three yellow four green five blue six purple seven gray eight white nine black zero.

 

2、 How to judge the quality of the color ring inductance?

(1)The shape of the color ring inductor is similar to the color ring resistance, but the color ring inductor is pointed at both ends, the middle is large, and the place where the lead is connected is gradually thinned ; The resistance is obviously thick on both sides, thin in the middle, and very uniform, and the place where the lead is connected is the vertical cross-section.


(2) The general color ring inductance is to use green as the base color, while the resistance is generally used as a brownish yellow, blue or off-white as the base color.


(3)The method of detecting the quality of the inductor with a pointer multimeter: the pointer multimeter transfer switch is placed in Rx1 file, and the red and black meter pens are connected to any pin of the inductor, and according to the measured resistance value, it can be specifically divided into the following three situations to identify :

3.1 The needle rotates, the inductance to be measured has a resistance value reading, the size of the resistance value is directly related to the wire diameter and the number of winding circles used in the winding inductor, as long as the resistance value can be measured, it can be considered that the measured winding circle or inductance is basically normal.
