With IoT on the trend and rising, engineers are increasingly faced with different options of transformer topologies in POE (Power Over Ethernet ) based design products.
The transformer is an electrical parts of equipment that has redefined power electronics, especially for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE).
There are two types of transformer topologies to consider for your new PoE-based design: Forward Type & Flyback Type power transformer
PoE is a great new method of providing power without looking for a 120/220 V outlet or nearby circuit breaker to supply power to low-voltage devices.
When this method was introduced at first stage, developers were only able to generate less than 5 Watt of power via PoE. But, now, there is a way to provide power designs with up to 100 Watt or more of PoE in the future.
【GPOE Series】Feature :
• PoE Ethernet Transformer has been widely used to deliver power and data over a single cable to devices.
• PoE transformers standards are evolving to meet the requirement for higher power, up to 90W PD input power.
• The center-tapped 1:1 transformers are used for injecting current, and common mode chokes are used to filter out EMI.
• Autotransformer provides more effective isolation.
